# Beta is closed; character creation opens Oct 27

**Blue post** · blue · published 2026-10-23

Kaivax says the WoW: Forever Beta has closed after five weeks. Blizzard will spend a few days on priority issues and the game service ahead of the Nov 4 launch, opens character creation on Tuesday, Oct 27 so players can pick a ruleset and reserve names, and will keep the WoW Forever Podcast going next week.
