# "Stop calling Forever 'Classic'"

**Community · unconfirmed** · drama · published 2026-10-12

A thread argues that comparing Forever to Classic causes much of the complaining, because Forever is a separate, evolving version with new zones, races and changes. Replies debate how 'Classic' it should feel. Community opinion; Blizzard describes Forever as a new permanent version alongside modern and Classic WoW.
