# Racial overhaul backlash: Orc and Horde players cry foul

**Community · unconfirmed** · drama · published 2026-10-16

After the Oct 15 beta build swapped racial weapon specializations for flat bonuses, forum threads argue Orcs got the worst deal (1% crit versus Humans' 2%) and that the reworked Shatter Curse is now too niche. Sibling threads complain about Tauren losing their hit bonus and a Horde-versus-Alliance racial imbalance in PvP. Player opinion, not a Blizzard position.
