# Pally changes -explain

**Community · unconfirmed** · tips · published 2026-10-31

A Paladin player asks others to explain the upcoming Paladin talent changes, worried that hybrid builds such as Holy DPS and shockadin are losing out, while Prot looks more fun. Replies are split: some say focused specs and the new Ret capstone (building Seal of Command charges, then swapping seals for burst) are an improvement and shockadin still works, others say Ret was nerfed. Community discussion, unconfirmed; Blizzard hasn't replied in the thread.
